Ashley (Frost) Bogle: 10 Year Update

After graduating, I had high hopes for world travel to exotic places and a high-paying, businessy-type, prestigious career with some fabulous company.  I knew one thing for sure… that I was moving far, far away from Greenbrier!   It’s not that I didn’t like Greenbrier, let’s be honest, I kinda loved it; I was just the typical teenager that thought I was waaay over this town.  So, I packed up and went off to college, graduating from Western Kentucky University in 2005 (ok, so it wasn’t that far from home).  After changing my major at least 8 times, I earned degrees in English and in Communication.  I then worked at Morton’s Stakehouse downtown as an assistant to the Sales and Marketing Manager.  I quickly decided that I actually did not want a high-paying ,buisnessy-type job at all - I wanted to be a teacher.

So, I quit my job and went back to school, this time pursuing a Graduate Degree in Education at Austin Peay State University.  I graduated “with highest honors” (can you believe it??) in 2007 and began teaching 8th grade English.  I bought a cute little condo in downtown east Nashville, and life was good.  However, I liked teaching and LOVED working only 100 days a year, BUT hormonal middle schooler’s weren’t really my thing… So I made a move to OF ALL PLACES Greenbrier High School, teaching junior and senior English.  I still live downtown and commute every day to Greenbrier, but it is funny how things come full circle.  When I’m not teaching, I work as a supervisor at Wave Country (looks like I found my "prestigious" career after all!) ;)

Other exciting news:  I just got married!!  I married Adam on March 12, 2011.  We had been dating for exactly one year when he proposed on the beach.  We are both incredibly happy and look forward to starting our lives together.
